The Washington County Historical Society promotes and preserves Washington County's history for county residents and visitors in the belief that a historical perspective enhances our understanding of community and sense of place. There are many ways to support the Society's important ongoing work.

Membership

Your membership in the Society directly supports the society's programs, and gives you a subscription to Historical Whipserings as well as free admission to the WCHS museums.

Endowment Fund

The WCHS endowment is a perpetual fund for everyday administrative and operating expenses. Only the earned income it yields is used. The principal in the endowment fund remains untouched, permitting it to continue to grow.

Volunteer

The Washington County Historical Society is always looking for volunteers of all ages with a variety of talents and skills to help in our library and museums at Scandia and Stillwater.
